Our Athletes

Vicky Fleetwood

For those in the know, Vicky Fleetwood needs no introduction.

Esteemed and cherished member of the Red Roses Rugby Team, joining in 2011 and quickly earning her stripes, her successes are the club’s own, helping her team win the World Cup in 2014, a title the club can hold with immense pride, forever.

Alongside this monumental achievement, she’s credited with the win of the Commonwealth Games, 5 Six Nations wins in her 12-year career, 82 international caps and 2 Premier 15s wins.

A titan of the sport, she retired in 2023 and was sorely missed by her club and by her fans, all over the world.

All this time, she was also pouring her heart into coaching and later into personal training, which she is still doing, to this day, after her long and distinguished career.

In 2024, after retirement, she shifted focus to her personal training, coaching and CrossFit, pushing those willing to learn and try their best to the physical and mental heights worthy of a true champion.

Harry Lightfoot

The man, the myth, the legend (and all-around nice guy).

Harry’s athletic career has lasted a lifetime, starting on his father’s humble farm in Cornwall, always lending a helping hand from a young age.

In his teen years, he trained to become a more dominant athlete during his brief reign in Rugby, which helped him and his team win noticeably more games.

With their final Rugby season ending, he and his friends began looking for ways to keep pushing their fitness up, when they found CrossFit.

And it was here his sheer athleticism truly shined.

Pushed by his friends’ belief in his abilities and self-assured by his abnormally high-level results, he gained the confidence to commit fully to the sport, now sitting at the #1 spot as the Fittest Man in the UK as of the 2024 CrossFit Games Open, and #18 worldwide.

Harry is now training harder than ever, gearing up to destroy the competition in the upcoming CrossFit Open Semi-Finals in Lyon, France, with his eye on the ultimate title of Fittest Man in the world, in which he is a strong contender for the title.

Helena Collins

Helena, a devoted mother, wife and athlete, fell in love with CrossFit after the birth of her first child.

First a football player, she made the switch to CrossFit and instantly found great success, finishing Top 5 in three separate events in 2017, including the Warrior League where she finished 1st overall.

Her extreme athleticism and strong spirit got noticed, and she was picked to represent Great Britain at the 2018 FRF World Championships in London.

Today, despite being in the (35-39) age bracket, she still dominates the sport, finishing as the 5th Fittest Woman in the UK, the Champion of her age bracket, and 3rd best in Europe and the World for Women 35-39.

This year, she competes again and will be seen alongside other world-level athletes at the Semi-Finals in Lyon, France.

Helen Nutter

Described as “fierce”, an animal lover and self-proclaimed lover of barbells, Helen is truly a force to be reckoned with in UK CrossFit.

Competing in swimming for 10 years before switching, and working as a full-time P.E. teacher and CrossFit Gym coach, she also found the time to top the CrossFit leaderboards, becoming the 2nd Fittest Woman in Europe in 2019 and currently sitting at the 9th spot for Fittest Woman in the UK in 2024.

Revered and loved in her community, and known just as much for her friendly, magnetic and strong, demeanour, she pushes her students just as she pushes herself towards greatness.

She is now training for the 2024 European Semi-Finals in Lyons, France, where she plans to continue her chart-topping career.

A fitness instructor inside the Military, and former CrossFit champion, Charlotte admits she wasn’t always into fitness.

But with an inherent, undeniable talent and raw athletic ability, once her fitness journey had started, it seemed there wasn’t a thing that could stop her.

She started training in CrossFit after running a marathon and began competing.

From 2017 she secured her place amongst the Top 5 Fittest Women in the UK for 5 years running.

Then after entering the (35-39) bracket, she topped the boards as Champion for two years in a row, all whilst being an active member of the military, known as ‘The Fittest Woman in the Military’ by 2021.

In 2024, she still stands amongst the Top 50 Fittest Women globally and is the 6th fittest Woman (35-39) in the UK, and still competes in CrossFit competitions.
